The following projects in the MPO region have been awarded JARC grants:

Federal Fiscal Years 2008 and 2009 Funds   (Awarded in August 2010)
  • Cape Ann Transportation Authority
    Acquire and implement an interactive voice response system.
  • Logan Transportation Management Association
    Institute an early-morning shuttle for travel before MBTA service hours begin.
  • MetroWest Regional Transit Authority
    Institute a bus route to serve East Marlborough.
  • City of Salem/North Shore Workforce Investment Board
    Fund the second year of a subscription paratransit service providing access across the North Shore to various employment corridors.
Federal Fiscal Year 2007 Funds   (Awarded in 2009)
  • 128 Business Council
    Operate shuttle bus services linking the South Street Corridor in Waltham with the Fitchburg and Framingham commuter rail lines as well as the MBTA’s Green Line.

  • Greater Attleboro Taunton Regional Transit Authority
    Operate a peak period shuttle from Pembroke to the Kingston commuter rail line.

  • MetroWest Regional Transit Authority
    Provide part of second-year operations funding for the Route 1 shuttle linking MetroWest to MBTA service at the Woodland Green Line station.

Federal Fiscal Year 2006 Funds   (Awarded in 2008)
  • Greater Attleboro-Taunton Regional Transit Authority
    Provision of additional transit service to low-income workers in Franklin and Bellingham.
  • North Shore Workforce Investment Board
    Expansion of an employment transportation and mobility management program.
  • Massachusetts Office for Refugees and Immigrants
    Planning study to determine methodology to provide transportation services to low-income refugees and immigrants seeking seasonal farm work.
  • SCM Community Transportation
    Planning study to design mobility management program to provide employment transportation for low-income workers in 21 member communities.
  • MetroWest Regional Transit Authority
    Purchase of four buses to provide a shuttle service for low-income workers and reverse-commuters between Framingham and Woodland Station on the MBTA Green Line.
